Therapist Update: Clinical Instructor Certification

Lifespan Therapies, PLLC understands the importance of participating in the clinical education programs for speech, occupational, and physical therapies. Taking students is not only a great opportunity to help our therapists revisit some of their technical skills, but it is one of the best ways to give back to our professions. Our therapists can help teach speech, occupational, and physical therapy students the creativity, fun, and problem solving that is required everyday with our kids.

Recently, our outpatient and pediatric therapist, Mia Thomas PT, DPT received her certification in being a clinical instructor. This training teaches therapists how to lead students to success in their clinical practice by discovering their learning style, assisting them in applying their knowledge in a comfortable environment that will promote confidence, and find experiences that will be challenging for exceptional students.

Clinical instructors are not only teaching physical skills and application of knowledge, but they are also expected to model the core values of the profession; this includes accountability, altruism, compassion, caring, excellence, and integrity. We are confident in all of our clinical instructors to not only promote these professional values, but also those that make up the face of Lifespan Therapies, PLLC.
